Some suggestions

1 - Make sure you've got an Advertise with Us page in your site with as much information as you can to help entice advertisers

2 - Prepare a media kit. Make it easy for these advertisers to buy ads from you

3 - Use advertising marketplaces. Examples are

OpenX Marketplaces (for users of the OpenX advertising platform) http://www.openx.com/publisher/ad-marketplace
BuySellAds http://buysellads.com/
AdOnion http://www.adonion.com/
