What is the WORST a virus could do to your computer?
My mom got a virus on her computer that wouldnt let her even leave the desktop. I was wondering if a virus could do worse than that?

Plus which files are most likely to hold a virus. Like if i download something and the file extention says exe. or whatever.
and whats the best antivirus?
i use norton and its been pretty good. it prevents me from downloading stuff with viruses and spyware
