I have a dell Inspiron laptop and need help bad!!!!!!?

Sometimes the start up repair is F8, sometimes F9, sometimes F10, or even F11 - keep rebooting and trying the next F key.

Or go to Dell.com's Technical Support page and read the manual for your make & model to get the exact instructions.

Did you make a repair disk when the computer was newer? Or burn the recovery files to a flash drive or optical disks? Do you still have the hidden recovery partition on the original hard drive?

If all else fails - doing a factory image recovery might loose all your personal stuff - but you'd have the best chance of getting a working computer back.....

If you've saved a recent back up or Easy Transfer image - you could still get a lot of your stuff back.....
