My facebook is showing the wrong icons and not letting me access my messages?

In the past week, my Facebook has been like breaking more and more? I tried to use the application Bit Strips last week, and it wouldn't let me, telling me to keep refreshing my browsers, and it just wouldn't ever work. Now, it's changing all my icons to random photos that I don't recognize, but when I go to my profile, it has the correct profile picture? Also, it keeps making the icons bigger than usual. Also, my messages aren't working, so I can't message anyone, and I can't view any messages. I use Google Chrome if that helps. Can someone help me please? I really just want my Facebook to work normally.
