My facebook is showing the wrong icons and not letting me access my messages?

This is because you have a spamming application added on your account.... go remove this application from your apps page....

How do I remove or delete an app from my account?

All the apps you use are listed in the My Apps page of the App Center. Remove an app by hovering over its name or icon and clicking the x that appears on the right.

You can also remove an app from your Account Settings. To do this:

-Click at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Account Settings
-From the menu in the left column, select Apps
-Click the x on the right of any app you'd like to remove

NEXT..... clear your browsers cookies/ cache/ temporary internet files
