I would recommend the Nexus 7 tablet.

Because the Kindle Fire HD was made for reading books mostly. It is not a fully fledged android tablet. And you are limited to apps you can get because of the Amazon App Store.

The Google Nexus 7 is an all around great tablet. It is great for games, and runs them fast (It has a quad-core processor). Also it has the Google Play Store which has thousands of apps. Including Facebook, Instagram, and you can download many web browsers also. It has a wide variety of games.
