Not only is it a violation of set rules on Facebook, but your bullies have pretty much left themselves open to criminal prosecution. Their actions has an element for a charge to stand, and they WILL have their I.Ps tracked and reported to Victoria Police for investigation on the usage and details provided for that internet account. In other words, their I.P address is a bit like a licence plate that enables police to track down their home address.
Just report them to your nearest police station with proof of the threatening messages. Things like this will not be taken lightly. You should not feel threatened online. Update: Your bullies are looking at an indictable offence that carries a maximum 10 year imprisonment at a level 5 correctional facility, if they've been making threats to kill. If not, then they could be charged with harassment and stalking which can lead to criminal prosecution. |
