I want to quit facebook for good!!?

I quit Facebook ages ago. I realized very quickly that the people I knew over Facebook weren't the people I knew in real life. Facebook is really just a mechanism that people use to promote their self image in an attempt to make other people think that they are "special".

Just keep that in mind. I still have a Facebook, but I really only keep it so I can contact people (and for those ("LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK" buttons on some sites, and also because some of the artists I listen to require you to like their Ffacebook page to download their tracks).

The trick is just to never open it up UNLESS you want to talk to someone. Turn off the notifications, delete the shortcuts and the bookmarks. Don't be tempted to browse people's pages or photos. Facebook is undeniably the best way to keep connected to people, you just have to get past everyone using it to fortify their self-images and fantasies.
