When can I get some furniture for my new apartment?

It depends on your income and available funds. My first apartment (before the credit card) was a studio, I slept in a sleeping bag on the floor and a chair was my first purchase. It was used but looked nearly new. I did not have family to help so I had to save my money and spent my spare time in the new city hunting for bargains. I did in time buy brand new from a rent to own company, but only after I had my kitchen (pots pans - so I was able to cook eating out has always been expensive but o is ruining food when you try to cook - so I bartered babysitting for cooking lessons, and I'm still not good)
