Sounds like it didn't go as well as you might have thought.

But, i feel like hand on knee is intimate enough that it shouldnt be the first time you guys touch.. that would be weird.

You should start with upper body contact.. like tapping her on the shoulder when pointing something out, or sitting next to her shoulders touching. And after she's comfortable with that, you can try touching her legs.

But, if she didn't respond to the "I had a great time last night" text, she's not into you. Move on, learn from your mistakes.
