Why is social media not used by governments so we can cast our votes on big decisions?

Because they have THEIR money on it.
For example
"1 in four Conservative Peers have financial interests in companies involved in private healthcare. 1 in 6 Labour Peers. 1 in 6 Crossbench Peers and 1 in 10 Liberal Democratic Peers. Of the MPs,

78% are Conservatives who have these interests."

They DO NOT want to lose money on their investments,
by us voting against their NHS piecemeal privatisation.
