my smoker husband .?

My husband smokes in garage. But somehow it goes into all rooms . It wakes me up with heavy headache .If I'm sleeping and I smell it in my sleep. I'm not a smoker .We have two kids . I am afraid it goes to their room as well. Is there anything I can do to keep the smoke from traveling through the the house ? how it is possible anyway ?
My husband tells me that it is impossible. He smokes in garage, how come I can smell that in bedroom too far from garage . I do not know how to prove it that is possible. He argued with me that I made it up. Any answer for him?
And also he does not believes in second hand smoke .
How can I tell explain to him that smoke not good for our kids ? He is an educated person .But I am wondering why he does not understand this important issue . Before our marriage he told me that he is not a heavy smoker . But I think he is . When I go to garage to get something the smoke is like a fug in their .
