How do I create a forum?

The easiest way is to find free hosting (something like x10hosting.com). Many of these free hosts have scripts and several different types of forums you can use. I prefer mybb forums. Its much easier to use for beginners than phpbb and the likes. It also has all kind of cool features you can apply to your forums (games, a store, promotions, etc).

So basically here is what you need if you want an independent forum.

1: Hosting (preferably free) that has php, MySQL (Highly needed) and a cpanel (control Panel).
2: Access to free forum scripts such as Mybb, Phpbb and such.
3: Free time to work on your forum.
