As far as art work paintings or drawings with nude subjects I can tell you from first hand experience of seeing live nude models, that most male nude models do NOT look that good at all. Most all of the nude male models I have seen are either plain looking, middle aged, old, or ugly to see nude. Not someone I'd want to see nude if I had the choice really. Out of the dozens of male nude models I've seen only maybe 3 or 4 that were nice to looking and who I didn't mind seeing nude at all. So maybe this has to do with the women artists choices of what gender they prefer to see nude. If you ask most women they will tell you it depends on the guy they are looking at.
