If you have the same content on your website as your blog will that prevent you from ranking on Google?

Duplicate content, whether within your domain or from external sources can be an issue. This is one of the crucial point in today's search engine algorithms. Duplicates will not only pull you down on your rankings but also split the link juices that could have made a single page more popular. Bogs for instance have archives that contain exact content as the individual posts. But if it can't be helped and you really need duplicate content on your site, use the rel="noindex" attribute on the duplicates to prevent search engines from indexing repeated content.
