As a general rule, you can only copy and republish pictures that are no longer copyrighted, unless you own the copyright or have a license from those who do.
The mere fact that someone generously published their work online is not a license for ANYONE to simply violate the copyright by publishing the photo anywhere for any purpose, let alone uploading to another site. Yes, if the copyright owner authorized the original upload you have found then it implies anyone can view or save a PERSONAL copy of the work, but that's the extent of the implied license. Ads |
