My friend of 5 years will not pay me back. What do I do?
I have a friend of 5 years (he's 27, no job, lives with parents, no high school diploma, and is currently trying to become a famous singer). Last year he said he needed money for a new phone (his parents pay the phone bill) and begged me, explaining how his current phone was all glitchy and faulty. He had no upgrade ready so it was 300 dollars I loaned him and he promised to pay it back soon. Now its a year later and he hasnt paid it back. Yet he still contacts me regularly like nothing happened. Then 3 days ago I reminded him that he still owes me 300 for the phone I helped him get. After I reminded him, he stopped texting back and hasnt contacted me since. Hes not responding to my facebook messages either nor emails yet hes online a lot. What do I do now???
Ps- i know where he lives but idk how his parents would react if I showed up angry at their doorstep
Stop calling me gullible. Maybe I was a little bit but really if you had a close friend for 5 years straight who checked on you a lot, it would be hard to believe they would suddenly drop you after "waiting" 5 whole years. When he promised me he would pay me back soon I thought he was gonna get it later from a bank loan or a family member or had a job interview, etc.
