Some people like to play "What would my life be like if such-and-such were different?" People, especially imaginative children, usually ponder on what it would be like to have different looks, live in different places or time periods, etc.
For white people surrounded by a lot of other white people, hair color does come into it. Girls are brought up believing to some extent that they define who they are by how they look, so they tend to wonder or wish that their lives would be different if they had different color hair. It's just human imagination at work. |
