You can try unplugging your DSL modem and router for a few minutes and then plugging them back in. Modem first until lights are on, then the router. This might help.
If you have 2 systems doing the same thing, it's more than likely something with the connection. You can also try running something like CCleaner on your systems to make sure it clears out ALL the internet cache and cookies. It's free. Give it a shot. Also, you can try taking one system off the internet, restart networking equipment, check the system still online. Does that help? If not, taking this system off the internet by unplugging connection or turning it off. Now check the other system. If one system works with the other disconnected, the system that is disconnected could have a virus or adware/spyware (that your anti-virus doesn't detect) that is bombarding your router/modem and causing your internet connection to slow down.
