Is 1GB of data enough for a smartphone (Galaxy S5)?

Do smartphones use data in the background?

If so, would 1GB of data be enough for something like a Galaxy S5?
----------------- HELL NO!!!! Smartphones are constantly connected to the internet. When uyou poop, pee, sleep, eat, have sex, in your pocket, in your purse, driving... if the sucker is ON... its CONNECTED! I dont care if its an iphone, android, windows, or blackberry!

If you have a 1-4GB plan, normal facebook and websurfing will be ok.. But dont even freakin think about using media apps.

having 1GB of data is like telling a family of 4, "here is $1000 for the entire month-. Now go live off of that!"....... BUDGET WISELY! Use WIFI when ever you can! Turn off Cellular data too!
