I have seen Google use the term donor links, which by the way suggests that the link was voluntarily created by the site, which in Google's world view should be the only way links are created, on the other hand any links created for the purposes of manipulating search ranking are considered a violation of google's guidelines.
Back to your question, I have not heard of any standardized general term for the source of backlinks, technical link reports use the term referrer. |
