It is possible to do this, however, both PCs need to remain within range on one another to allow for this. Using one PC, create a wired internet connection (by using ethernet cable to connect to the router or cable modem) then, on the hose (connected computer) configre the wireless card to work in ad-hoc mode - you will need to consult the wireless network adapter documentation to do this.
Once completed, you will need to bridge the wired and wireless connections (unsure of which OS you are using, you will need to google for the answer to "how to bring wired and wireless connections" and I'm sure you'll find an answer.) Upon completion of these steps, the second computer can connect to the ad-hoc wireless network (it will show in the list of available networks, usually with a different icon) and have internet connectivity.
