How do you get big on YouTube?

Hi, I started my gaming channel just over 2 months ago now, and I have 56 subscribers. I upload every other day. I haven't been growing that much recently, I don't think enough people know about me. I don't think my videos get enough views for the effort that goes into them, I think if people knew about me I would be more successful, I use twitter. I have done lots of research into getting more views etc and I've tried all, however they aren't all that effective.
