How much does advertising cost?

It's tough to come up with average numbers, I don't really know what the average cost per listener for radio ads, this site dealing in TV spots might be helpful in your research.

Internet ad cost depends a lot on their effectiveness in reaching a "ready to buy" demographic, depending on the ad source and subject you can find ads costing between 10 cents and 10 dollars for a click. Targeted ads like shown to someone on a mission to find specific information tend to convert to sales a lot more often, sponsored search ads continue to provide some of the best prospects.
Commonly internet ads are sold either by the impression or by the click, in some cases you can get 1000 impressions (page appearances) of an ad for the same cost as 1 click. Some bid priced Google ads for doctor and lawyer terms like mesothelioma go for over $50 for one click, the potential thousands a lawyer can make from one prospect justifies the ad cost of those relatively rare clicks.
