Best Web hosting company?

Hi The,

I have taught marketing at the University of Wyoming for the past 18 years and can tell you that choosing the right host is a crucial step towards building a successful website, although a good host alone is far from enough to ensure that you get a good amount of traffic and a solid reputation for your brand/blog. Choosing a bad host, however, will result in failure; with bad hosting, no matter what you do, you will have no chance out there. Hosting can be of three types: shared, VPS or dedicated. If you are new to ecommerce or blogging, you should start with shared hosting first, but be prepared to move to VPS and dedicated later. These can be as much as 20x more expensive than shared, but by the time you will need those services, you should be already making enough money to afford them without any issues.

Whichever host you choose, there are tools available for free on the Internet such as tools.pingdom.com, which may help you check the speed and uptime of any web host before you even think about purchasing a hosting plan. Remember that despite their many claims about "unlimited hosting", no shared host including Hostgator, iPage, Bluehost, Fatcow and the like will ever be able to provide the same speed and reliability, which a dedicated server can. I recommend this host to my students: http://topwebhosts.tld.cc I also use them for my own sites and they have helped me create over 15 profitable micro-businesses. They come with a few freebies that will help a new webmaster promote their site, which is a huge deal if you are on a tight budget, and don't have enough resources to afford paying for advertising. Not every host does. In my experience it's the best out there.

Remember though, that everyone is different and you may have needs different than mine. For some webmasters, customer service may have priority over features, and , for others, it will be vice versa. As long as you choose a reputable company that has been around for long, you should be fine. If not, never hesitate to make use of your money back guarantee. Try to pay with PayPal, so that you can have the transaction reversed, if the service is not what was promised.

Hope that Helps!
