Nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with people who genuinely make you happy. However riddle me this, batman. How many potentially amazing friendships have you missed out on because of your prejudice and avoidance of "certain people" you assumed were shallow and petty? A lot of those popular folks you avoid are popular for a reason--their wonderful personalities bring joy to those around them and have earned all those friendships.
