Hi!

1 thing for sure, you follow people with the same interests
Join group conversation using #hashtag
Use tools such as social exchange
Be yourself and be friendly
Share nice tweets

As for me, I am using social exchange and joining getfreesignals.com to earn more points and followers - This is where you can submit your twitter account and let others follow you...
