Actually it is quite simple. People prescribe to a theory that there is such a thing as a free lunch and you can achieve that by mooching off of others thru government. They elect politicians who are only too happy to make that happen with the force of law. Large groups of people are turned into full blown parasites and almost everybody is "gifted" benefits that they didn't really earn. Payoffs really. An unsustainable path is set and eventually the parasite class becomes too large and hungry to feed. Hosts begin waking up and detach the parasites. They begin to feel much better as the parasites writhe in pain. Moral of the story. Progressivism is pure evil as it turns otherwise spiritually healthy adults into dependent, handicapped shells of what they could be. You kill potential lives when you kill babies and you kill the potential in millions of people when you sell the ultimate cancer pill....collectivism.
