The best way to explain it (may have taken this from a programme I watched )

If the best an athlete can do is to achieve 3rd place in a race, they have to believe they can win in order to achieve their full potential of reaching 3rd place, so if the album turns out to be pretty good but not incredible, he has to believe it will be one of the greatest, for it to be the best he can possibly make it be, and it could turn out to be just average but it would of been worse if he didnt approach it with the mentality of making a goat album, I personally really like his music, I heard a preview of King Wizard of Indicud and it sounds really good, so who knows it could end up being one of my favorite albums
