When you post anything on Facebook you have lost any reasonable expectation of privacy.Parents check on their kids accounts,bosses check on employees ( and they have been fired due to what the employer considers unacceptable conduct or content.)"friends " can check on each other, use the different social networks for bullying,etc What was intended to be a sight for friends and family to stay in touch has also showed it can have a darker side.A good rule of thumb is to never put into print or say anything you want to be kept private.It only takes a spark to start a wildfire.
