Is it wrong for birth parents to track down kids they gave off for adoption on Facebook?

Once the adoptees are adults, certainly. I wouldn't see a problem with it at all. But if for whatever reason there has been no contact between a biological parent and a minor adopted child, I think that the right thing to do is to contact the adoptive parents first. Any parent (even adoptive ones) have a duty to protect. First of all, how does the adopted person know that the indivdual contacting them is, indeed, their biological parent? What if it was a closed adoption that went through the state and there is a legal no-contact order?
