Maybe you ought to do a report on how you became so confused. Someone has been feeding you far too many lies; Noah's ark is a myth. Perhaps you can't understand that as yet because you have never done any research on Christianity. You need to, so you can learn the truth. To start with I recommend that you obtain the book "Piso Christ" By Jay Gallus and Roman at any bookstore. Inexpensive and ask to order it if store does not have it in stock

No one has found the ark anywhere than the imagination!
If an 'article' said it, it lies!
Were it even possible, it would be the biggest news of the millennium!
Screaming from headlines all over the world!
People would be lined up around the block waiting to get baptized (before they started doing batches by the 100s!)!
And you 'read an article' and figured that it, what? 'must B True' without even a second thought?
I think a good paper might be written how people get suckered by media all the time if you don't think for yourself! At least you have 'knowledge/experience' in the matter.
People WANT to believe, NEED to have their weak beliefs validated, 'externally', are willing to swallow an awful lot in the process.
Lots goes on in the imagination! *__-

Edit;
'How to manipulate your friends and enemies!'!
That is an A+++ topic, and you might even learn a few things in your sincere and honest research for the article!

Have fun...

Noah's Ark has been "found" about every 5-6 years since I was in the 8th grade, and that 53 years ago. What that really means is that there is no way shape or form that anyone has found it, but the story keeps coming out to sell books. If you are going to a fundamentalist Christian school the project will get you brownie points. If going to a Catholic school you will probably get a fair grade for the work you put in but you will get a reminder that it is not actual history. If going to a public school for the same reason you could very well get a failing grade.

From a historical perspective there never was a world-covering flood as described in Genesis. However there certainly WAS a world- wide flood. Ten thousand years ago towards the end of the last Ice Age there was so much water trapped in ice that the sea levels were 300' lower than they are today. The first settlers of the Americas, the Philippines, the Indonesian island and many of the other Pacific islands did not sail there. They walked there on dry land. This land had been dry for thousands of years and early man did in fact build cities in the areas which would be flooded by the melting ice. To the people of the time the city was their whole world. Few people would have traveled. A likely scenario that may form the actual historical basis of the story is that as the water levels rose many would have been trapped. Those few who had access to boat could perhaps have fled with their families and their animals. The would have looked on the destruction as the wrath of God for the evils of the cities, and they would have thanked their god for their delivery. If you chose to approach it in this way google "ancient underwater cities". Underwater cities have been discovered off the coast of India and Japan dating back to about that time. You may wish to tie it in with what would happen if the present ice-caps and glaciers continue to melt. Once again the water levels would rise 300 feet. Florida and virtually all of the east coast of the US would be called "The Atlantic Ocean". Here is a site that shows that: https://www.google.com/search?q=melting+...66&bih=643

You could tie it in with what caused the end of the ice age then and what is causing the ice caps to melt now.

You should stay with mental illness, but you could use the belief in Noah's Ark as an example. The ark story is physically impossible for a number of reasons. It's also been announced that it has been "found" almost every year of the last century despite the fact that no such vessel could possibly exist.
