is facebook good or bad for school students ?

Key survey findings include:

•Grades of students who checked Facebook while studying were 20% lower than grades of those who didn’t check Facebook while studying;
•79 percent of students did not believe that multitasking in the way mentioned above negatively affected their grades;

•75 percent of college students reported wanting to collaborate online.

Hmmm. I don't know. It's a distraction. You have to be focused.
I think it should be excluded from reading time or homework time etc.

bad, children now sit on social networking sites instead of socialising normally(playing outside with friends). it's also addictive & therefore children sit more on facebook then with school work!!

It really depends on the students mind set. If the student cannot concentrate and is easily distracted, Facebook can take time from their studies. A good thing about facebook (my class does this) is to start a group and invite the class to it (not including teachers lulz) have them communicate with each other and help out. Set up meet times to help study and learn more.

Face book is not at all good for students who are learning . They can have google in Internet if want more to know about any subject they are studying.
They should study in good mark to get a Degree for a decent Job for living. Both boys and girls should have job for a happy life.
Then only go for Facebook. It is only an advice from a wise person.

It's totally bad for students. A totally waste of time using it. It's specially for Jobless, free people for spending the time and not for the students. Its even Illegal for use under 18 years of age.
Even student enter fake birth date and make account.
Its just for communicating with our relatives or friends who are living far from us.
But students even use it and waste their time even they live nearby!!!!

facebook is a good for school students and evryone, through the facebook we gather more ingormation and new updates but time limit is very must for everyone either student or employ.

Students spend much of their time on facebook because it’s currently trendy, and they neglect their studies while doing so. In my opinion facebook is not at all good for students.
