Have religious pro-birthers gone too far?
Are religious pro-birthers going too far?

In the recent case of the pregnant Texas brain dead woman who was against her own, and her families wishes was kept on life support to incubate a NON-VIABLE fetus, which has been found to have horrendous abnormalities that make it impossible to even detect it's sex. The fetus also has heart abnormalities, limb abnormalities, and brain abnormalities which have caused big pockets of fluid inside the brain which make the head very large in size.

It was decided yesterday by a judge that the hospital must remove the dead woman's body from the life support machine as so the family could finally lay their loved one to rest. The woman has already began to decompose as her husband recently stated that when he kissed his wife's head he can no longer smell her scent, but the smell of a dead body.

I came across a few religious anti-abortion sites who are very opposed to the judges decision and are even planning to campaign against it. They are even going as far as to say the woman's husband is a murderer.

Here are just a few of the disgusting comments I have gathered from religious pro-birthers on lifesitenews page on facebook regarding this tragic story.

"The judge and the husband...they're going to have a hell of a lot to answer for when they stand before God"

"If this should go through, it should be the father who pulls the plug. Then he should be charged, just as anyone who kills a mother and her unborn child would be charged."

"Disgusting, what kind of father would not want his child to survive or at least have a chance!? Sounds like he doesnt want the responsibility especially if something is wrong with the baby's health, so sad."

"What kind of a man would want to kill his wife's baby that she wanted???"

"Husband does not want to be tied down with a new born is what it is all about."

"Heart breaking that he doesn't want his own baby. I pray for all involved here. It's not our right to judge. We see through dim glass what God sees clearly.""

"the hospital can appeal and Priests for Life are on top of it....not over yet...."

"So the husband will now have the blood of his wife and his baby on his hands. This is so sad"

"no respect for life."

"Evil father. Evil judge"

"He is willibg to kill his child for his own wants. How much more selfish can you get"
--------------------------------------…

I personally have never in my life been so disgusted with these so-called "christian pro-lifers" They in my opinion are not and should not be labelled pro-lifers, but instead PRO-BIRTHERS.
They have no respect for life at all, and if they did then they would have no issue with that poor dead woman's family being able to put their loved one's body to rest, and let them grieve properly for their loved one, which this poor family have been unable to do for months.
For weeks it has been said that the fetus would never even have a chance of survival, yet they still want the pregnancy to continue.... WHY? What possible reason would you want corpse to carry a non-viable fetus to term? These people are deranged beyond belief. I didn't think these people could sink any lower, but they just did.
And for them to them go and berate the grieving husband, and label him a murderer!? . How is berating a grieving man respecting life? I am just so disgusted with these fetus fetish lunatics.

What are your views on this, and have they gone just too far with this?

You don't understand Pro Lifers. It is their INTENT to punish women. They themselves may or may not admit this, but it is the basis of their rage and anger---sexual jealousy, and bitter self-righteousness.

If you doubt this dark motives, at least please consider:

Why are most pro-lifers also pro-gun, pro-war and pro death penalty? How can that make sense? How are children who die from drone attacks less innocent than a "fetus"

Why aren't pro-lifers lined up to adopt every black and brown child that mothers abandon?

Why do pro-lifers combine anti-abortion with anti-sex education and anti-birth control? Isn't that kind of crazy, given that the latter two would prevent abortion?

SO....you see that the pro-life movement is designed to punish, not to help, and that it is a charade, disguising what was once known as a "witch hunt".

They need to let this go. The woman is gone, the baby is just as well. Disgusting.

The only thing I find in common among all those who are theists is they feel this urgent need to interfere with the personal, private decisions of people they have nothing to do with.

Blaming an entire group for the actions of individuals is idiocy. Blaming them for the rulings of a court is baseless.

Leave passing judgement up to God...he knows every situation and heart and doesn't need our help. Live according to your convictions in your own life because that's all you will answer for when you stand before Him in the end.

ADDED: Your bigotry is revealed in your title question since you aren't taking issue with pro-lifers, just religious pro-lifers! And the TD's are hysterical since I say nothing to support any position other than freedom for all and the right to live according to your convictions and that people shouldn't judge other people...it's hypocrisy to say religious people shouldn't judge you but you retain the rights to judge them! "Here's your sign!!!"

Anti-Choicers/Pro-Birthers "Went Too Far" in the early 1970's when they started to lie about the view of "Christianity" regarding pregnancy, fetuses, children, and women...

► The ‘biblical view’ that’s younger than the Happy Meal
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/slacktivist...appy-meal/

At some point between 1968 and 2012, the Bible began to say something different. That’s interesting.

That year, (1974) Christianity Today — edited by Harold Lindsell, champion of “inerrancy” and author of The Battle for the Bible — published a special issue devoted to the topics of contraception and abortion. That issue included many articles that today would get their authors, editors — probably even their readers — fired from almost any evangelical institution. For example, one article by a professor from Dallas Theological Seminary criticized the Roman Catholic position on abortion as unbiblical.

Jonathan Dudley quotes from the article in his book Broken Words: The Abuse of Science and Faith in American Politics. http://www.amazon.com/Broken-Words-Scien...0385525265

Keep in mind that this is from a conservative evangelical seminary professor, writing in Billy Graham’s magazine for editor Harold Lindsell:

“God does not regard the fetus as a soul, no matter how far gestation has progressed. The Law plainly exacts: “If a man kills any human life he will be put to death” (Lev. 24:17). But according to Exodus 21:22-24, the destruction of the fetus is not a capital offense. … Clearly, then, in contrast to the mother, the fetus is not reckoned as a soul.”

They "Went Too Far" when they decided that it was "Playing God" to hook a body up to massive amounts of expensive machinery rather than to allow a body to find peace in death.

"Death by natural causes" =/= "Playing God"

They'd rather watch as children are born to parents that will torture them and abuse them...
They'd rather watch as a body is forced to stay alive in torment thanks to artificial means...

They're pro-abuse and pain, not "Pro Life."

I couldn't be bothered to read all that, but yeah, those anti-choice nuts are disgusting:

"Whereas previously the programs of the liberal, intellectualist women's movements contained many points, the program of our National Socialist Women's movement has in reality but one single point, and that point is the child, that tiny creation which must be born and grow strong and which alone gives meaning to the whole life-struggle"
-- Adolf Hitler; from speech to the NS Frauenschaft (Sept. 8, 1934)

They are committed to, and defending, the principle that pregnant-Americans are not citizens but state property, to be used as incubators.

They're INSANE -- who cares what they think. I remember the Terri Schiavo fiasco. The freaks have to be ignored. Finally the law and hospital are doing the decent thing and letting the family bury her. The Texas law that allowed this gruesome sideshow to happen needs to change.
