What exactly is President Obama responsible for, just the bad that happens?

Several reasons.

1. The Republicans have come to see the White House as THEIR house. When a Democrat gets elected president, they react to him as if he was some kind of evil foreign dictator who destroyed our democratic republic. They go into 'resistance' mode and sabotage the govt. and the economy. This is nothing new, they treated Clinton and Carter the same way.

2. The current GOP is totally out of ideas. They believed totally in Reaganomics--trickle down economics, a bullying foreign policy, shifting the tax burden off the rich, destroying social programs, etc. These policies have failed abysmally! But the right believed in them so strongly that they can't admit they didn't work, and they have no Plan B! They are completely unable to offer any alternatives to Obama's ideas--most of which were THEIR ideas before Reaganomics! So all they can do is to mindlessly oppose Obama.

3. The Republican Party has built a huge media infrastructure to, in GW Bush's words, 'catapult the propaganda'. This has led to their need to constantly ratchet up the rhetoric, to use stronger and stronger language. (Obama's a communist, marxist, atheist, socialist, fascist, etc.) and to increasingly simplify issues to black and white (no pun intended) so that EVERYTHING bad that EVERY happened is Obama's fault and EVERY success Obama or Clinton had were really REPUBLICAN successes.

4. Let's face it--Republican voters are not really well-informed. You can see that right here on Yahoo Answers. So the party's information infrastructure can get away with some real whoppers (This is related to the above item.) They know if you repeat a lie over and over, people come to 'know' it and don't question it. Studies show that people who depend on Fox News for their news are actually worse informed than people who don't follow the news at all! But this is also a problem with the mainstream media, who haven't done the greatest job in the last few decades in exposing some of the worst political lies.

FYI, Not enough jobs: Bush's fault according to the Obama White House.
Stock market all time record, directly in response to stimulus money that Obama enacted.... Not Bush according to the Obama White House
Job Creation all because Obama created jobs.... which according to liberals under Bush, the president can't do

You liberals are just as bad as conservatives. Blame the other guy when it's convenient, accept responsibility when politically expedient to do so.
