Try linkedin or making a business Facebook page. You can promote specials you have and get your name out. Craigslist can also be helpful too

Create a facebook page and create a company profile page have all friends family add your company. Link your facebook page to your company website. Then use twitter and other social media outlets and tie them all together. The next step would be to get listed with like Angies list or other sites. Linkid is a great source as previously mentioned. Another thing you should consider is contacting sites in your niche. For instance I have sold ad space to contractors for advertising on my roofing, drywall and framing websites. For when homeowners can not do the process themselves.
I hope this helps. |

Hi Michael,
You can try creating a Facebook fan page to promote your roofing company. It's the best social media site for your business. Here are some random tips to promote your business/company on Facebook: 1. Choose the right category of your page. (Local Business, Place, Brand or Product). 2. Make sure to fill up all the necessary information. Don’t forget to introduce yourself or your store by adding description, about me and most importantly your contact details. 3. Choose a photo that can represent your store (preferably your logo if you have). 4. Take advantage of the new Facebook Fan Page lay-out. Use the photo-strip to display your products. 5. Feed your potential customers with valuable contents aside from your self-promotion posts. Hope this helps. |

As the other posts suggest, Facebook is the king of social media websites. However, if you wan to be successful in social media, there is more than just creating your Facebook business page. First of all, there are other sites that you should create a business accounts with such as Twitter, StumbleUpon, Foresquares, Delicious, Linkedin, Digg and others. Once you take the time to create the accounts and put some content, you need to be active. Add the social buttons to your website so that visitors can link to their own pages easily. Encourage your customers to post their experience or pictures on your pages. Basically, if you want to be successful in social media marketing, you have to be active. Some companies even give away t-shirts if their customers place their pictures. That is usually effective.
