Should i apologize to my friend? its been 3 years since our gay encounter?
well im 21, im gay, and away from home. 3 years ago i was best friends with this guy for all of middle and high school.
i was strugling with my sexuality, i wasant too sure about if i was gay or not. and i did not want anyone to find out. my best friend and i fooled around one night, it continued for a few days or weeks. then somehow a few of my other friends found out. he was sorta bragging about what happed. he also came out to my small group of friends before all of this happened.

i really dont remember much about it, but long story short, i just cut him off. he moved away, i deleted him from facebook, i never texted back, we havent talked in 3 years. he texted me for weeks trying to apologize but i ignored him. but now that im comfortable being gay and have a boyfirend, i just feel like an asshole. i want to text him and say "sorry if i was a dick" something like that. any advice? im not sure what im hoping to get out of this.

Yea. It sounds like he still wanted to be friends. I'm sure he realized what he did was wrong. If he gives you the chance to explain, I'm sure he would understand. Most gay guys I know went through that time where they weren't really comfortable yet.

Remove the word "if" and send it.

It would be a good idea to text him and apologize. Since it sounds like he wanted to make up and you do as we'll try to text, email, or call him to try and repair your friendship. Explain why you felt the way you did and I'm sure he went through a period of denial as well too so he can most likely understand. Good luck and I hope it goes well!
