Average day for american teenagers?
hello there, i was wondering what is life like for american teens. I'm writing an essay where i compare the lifestyle of teenagers from new zealand to others overseas and i chose US (we are currently studying how globalization is created through media, internet and social media and its affects on the modern youth). new zealand is a small country at the end of the world and it has a relatively relaxed vibe, but in the states i suppose it would be much different. I understand that movies don't often give an accurate depiction of how life for teens are (c'mon...do people really act like they do in mean girls?!) and it is also hard to generalize the whole american youth because there is much diversity, but it would be helpful if you guys can just tell me what its really like out there in your opinion (the vibe, people's attitude ect) and your average day routines/activities.

thank you very much,
-L

They wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, come home, often play video games, do homework, eat dinner, and go to bed. Pretty much the same things teenagers the world around do.

And films tend to exaggerate things. I'd never think that burning tampons in a furnace was common in the UK because I saw it in "To Sir, with Love".

Wake up, text, get ready, eat, go to school, text, hang out, text, eat, come back home, text, text some more, go on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, text, eat, text in bed, sleep, repeat.

Well, at least for the teens that I know.
