In the ambitious desire of most networking (and job sites as well) have been silently seeking a vital data for every registered user as USER MAIL ID followed by PASSWORD instead of asking for user name and password

This is totally unethical be it facebook or linked in or any other commercial site. Mind it our mail box is just being openly raided by commercial sites

They are just entering into PRIVACY ZONE

Well accoriding to me, if people really have highly confidental data then why are they exposing it on facebook. If people want to their data or information not to be exposed to people then they should quit, why are they asking everyone to quit.

No, at the moment I am unlikely to quit Facebook. Least of all, on the question of privacy. I believe it is an excellently structured networking site, especially in the way it takes care of the privacy question. But yes, if one is looking for 'that' kind of PRIVACY, then yes, one should not be available on ANY social networking site!! I myself took a while to come on to Facebook, for precisely this reason: being wary of having my privacy intruded upon. However, being a recent member of the Facebook community, I have to say - so far, so good.
As for the critics and their Quit Facebook Day, it is possible that they are part of some interest group and are actually looking at ways of discreding the website and perhaps benefiting possible rivals!!!
