Twitter, twitterific, ubertwitter?
I have twitter. Just plain twitter. What are all of these others? Twitterific? ubertwitter? Twitterfon? And how do they differ from Twitter?

They're like applications, on facebook.
On twitter, you can only tweet. That's ALL you can do. With those "apps", you let the site have access to your twitter account, so then you can upload pictures, etc. and have to "connect" to your twitter account. Ads |

Twitterfon, now Echofon, is an iPhone app for Twitter. (There's also an Echofon plugin for the Firefox web browser.)
Twitterrific runs on either the iPhone or Mac OS X. Ubertwitter runs on the BlackBerry. All of them connect to Twitter using the standard Twitter API, and produce standard Twitter tweets; all of them have additional options. I use a product called TweetDeck, which runs in the Adobe AIR environment on multiple platforms. |
