go to account in the top right corner.
go to account settings. at the very bottom click deactivate account. thats it. Ads |

Top right corner, click Account. Click Edit Settings from the Account drop-down menu. Scroll all the way down, you should see "Deactivate Account." |

It will also ask you several reasons why you want to deactivate the account when you tried to deactivate your account, and choose it wisely. |

Your facebook is never permanently deleted; if you deactivate it, you can reactivate it just by logging back in. Everything will be the same &you won't have to create a new one.
