My girlfriend wants to become my Facebook friend, what to do?

Hang on. This is your girlfriend, right? In real life? OK, well unless you're making this scenario up, I find it hard to believe that any intelligent woman would let the cyber-world damage her real would. If you spend time together and some of your co-workers are already her Facebook friends, then there's no reason for her to expect that something is up. That's like saying, I don't have proof that you're not doing anything wrong so I'm going to assume that you are doing something wrong. That's dumb. Explain it to her and although she might not like it, it would speak very loudly of the type of woman she is if she lets Mark Zuckerberg's little program make her decide to drop a decent guy.

Also, re: HR and Facebook, I know a guy who got himself hurt professionally because an old college picture of him celebrating Easter in Spain was seen on Facebook. In the north, the Catholics wear outfits that look like KKK outfits. HR thought it meant more than it did. He suffered. He had nothing to hide or so he thought.
