I want to send a note to a SPECIFIC GROUP of Facebook Friends?
I made a list of the people I want to send the message to. (it has its own name). Now I want to send a message and correspond only with the people I choose on my list) regarding this topic.
More information: OK-I am getting surgery on Friday. I don't want everybody that are "friends" on Facebook to know my business.
Hope somebody that has more brains then me can help me figure it out....I tried with a "test" message and whatever I am doing is NOT working!

You can go to the email. Then select all the people you want to send the message to. this way no one else will see it. If you post it on anyones wall it can be read by any of their friends. So the best way is to use the email. Just type all their names in and it should work.

OK, you've created a Facebook Friends list -- correct? If not, go to your Friends page and on the left there is a heading a little ways down which says "Lists" and under that the names of any lists you have. Under that is a "+ Create" link which you can click to create a new list.

Then, when you go to your Inbox and compose a new message, click into the "To:" field and a little dropdown will appear which says the following:

"Type the name of a friend, list, or email address"

Start typing the name of your new friends list and the dropdown will change to those friends or list names which match the letters you've typed so far. Then, just select the list name you want. Voila!

One note, though... When used in Facebook messages, the friends list can contain no more than 20 names. However, you can create multiple lists with 20 names in each one and then use all of those list names when composing your message. No sweat!

God bless.
