her facebook friend request icon doesn't show it.

Sometimes the other person has to go to your profile and hit "reply request" or something like that. It's the button where you would add somebody

maybe it's a facebook bug. try sending the friend request again, cancel it then add her as friend again. or message her to add you instead.
