Would you say this status is too depressing to put on Facebook?
This past week, I lost a High School friend to alcohol poisoning, and the whole town has been grieving (me included). Also, the funeral took place yesterday. Last night when I was on Facebook, a depressing status showed up, and it showed four of my past high school friends with cups of lemonade in their hands, smiling. And it said something along the lines of, "We laid a friend to rest, but it's the beginning of an era to celebrate his life and hold on to his memory. R.I.P., we miss you already".
Two hours later after the status was posted, I came back on Facebook only to realize that it had been taken down. Would you say statuses like that are too depressing for Facebook? Ads |

It's awful but no not too depressing for facebook. I guess it is a celebration of their life and a way to grieve.
Some people may say worrying about things on the Internet are pathetic and the world has changed and I guess this may be true to an extent but it is now a way of communication and a way to express yourself. There's definitely statuses that are too much information but not when it comes to death. Sorry for your loss x Ads |

No. Staying happy in times of hardship in fact is not depressing, but encouraged.
