I don't want to make a Facebook account but I'm pressured to make one. What should I do?

I don't have a Facebook account. I don't even like Facebook.

I'm in first-year college now and in some subjects, for instance Math, some practice exercises are posted on Facebook and you have to download them. My grades slumped in Math because I can't have access to all the practice problems (but I gotten some through e-mail) because I don't have Facebook. Announcements from organizations, and from the university itself, mostly go through Facebook

Some of my friends and cousins who are in college, say that later on in college, some professors will post assignments, even quizzes on Facebook. My friends and classmates pressure me to have a Facebook acccount. Even my father recommends that I get a Facebook account for school purposes.

I hate Facebook so much, but if I don't make one I take the risk of having very low grades. I plan to make a "ghost account" where I get updates and files related to school but I won't tell my classmates that I don't have an account. But the thing is I don't like to make one. What should I do, and are there any alternative ways to the plan that I mentioned above?

I live in the Philippines, where anything that's popular is required. X(

I think you should just make one, it'll benefit you in the long run. Also, you could make a ghost account or you could connect with friends and other people that go to your school, it might actually be fun! c:

Hello. I read your problem and now I have 1 simple solution for you and hopeful you will appreciate my idea.
First of all make fake or ghost account on facebook and subscribe your friends. if you don't want to add them as a friend on fb. Facebook has option of deactivate account so when you realize now your mission is complete then you can remove/deactivate that account easily.
Why you compromising with study? Facebook account is free so feel free to remove and create account on facebook.
If you want to stay safe and hide then don't give your personal information on facebook. Study is very important so don't compromise with it.

Make one with a fake name & dont add anyone ! So u dont have facebook it will be sth like an account that u use for ur assignments
