Christians...here's the problem with Phil Robertson?

You good sir, are the first person to ever post here that i completely agree with in full. Everything you said is absolutely how i feel about the situation.

I'm in agreement with what E said about Phil having the right to voice what he believes. The man was asked a question, and he answered it. Now everyone is all bent out of shape and whining because he spoke up about how he felt on homosexuality. If he was for it, nobody would give a darn on what he had to say about it, but since he is against it and made that clear, everybody is making a big deal out of it. I stand with Phil and am happy happy happy that he loves His LORD enough to stand for what His word says. The athiest whines wanting prayer banned from schools, and "God we trust" banned from dollar bills, well we Christians [who stand with the word] want to tell the truth about homosexuality being a sin, no matter who it offends.

You're absolutely right; he should have said, "I disagree with homosexuality, but that's just my personal opinion," and left it at that. Even if people could disagree with his disagreement of it, nobody could argue with him exercising his free right to state his personal opinion and his reputation and TV show wouldn't be in jeopardy. Instead, he went on to say insulting, degrading things about it and bring religious dogma into it, which created the firestorm of opposition we're seeing.

Free speech includes what others may find offensive, as long as you aren't infringing on the rights of others. Phil did no such thing.
