I agree with Poppet, but also you may want to seek counselling for yourself if you blame yourself for what happened. You should not if there were no signs or previous convictions, lots of bad men are wolves in sheep's clothing.

If you don't feel safe at home then you and the kids need to go to someones house. You need to talk to an attorney or the DA as soon as possible.
