Dealer is a employee of a company it can be a Broker or Sub-broker his main job is to Punch orders of clients, Give market updates and share views expressed by Research on Market and Stocks. Dealer is the main interface between a client and the Company. Sub-broker is a business man on his own who can also do the job of the dealer but he has more responsiblity compared with a dealer and his income is based on volumes he generates. http://prabhakar-views.blogspot.com

A Sub broker is an entity (including an individual) who is registered as a Sub Broker through a Broker. This enables the sub broker to participate on behalf of his customers in the equity market.

A Dealer is a person who executes the trades on behalf of the customers on the trading system. To be a dealer, one has to be qualified by clearing the requisite NCFM examinations.

Thus, a sub broker is an entity enrolled to carry on the business of transacting in securities on behalf of its clients through the main broker while a dealer is the one who executes the transactions on the exchange platforms.
