How to connect friends on Facebook?

A friend has asked me whether I could invite another friend (both on my facebook) to become also his (first) friend. Is this possible? What steps should I follow?

First friend? I don't fully understand what you mean by that ...

But inviting friends is easy:

Friends->Invite friends->Type in email address (-es)

Login to facebook and Im sure somewhere on there is an invitation link to send to friends.

goto Find Friend
add his/her email in the search box
and send invitation

if that friend is already in your MSN Messengr or Yahoo Mail.. then u can give your IM login and password, and all the contacts in IM will be added to your Facebook list of friends.

You can go to your friend fb, go all the way to the bottom of the page and there should be a "suggest friend" on the bottom left.

No you cant do that, but what you can do is suggest friends for them. Go onto your friends profile, then look down on the left hand side of the screen and you will see a link saying 'suggest friends for.....' click this and then choose the friends you want to connect with this friend.
